✅ CLO2 has a fantastic permeability to the cell wall. It can release free radical oxygen to oxidize the sulfhydryl based enzyme in the cell for biocidal application. The oxidation effect of CLO2 originates the attack to electron donors of chemical groups, such as sulfhydryl based enzyme, vital amino acids and RNA in the cell. Compounds within the cells and on the surface of the membrane that contains oxidizable materials react with CLO2 causing cell metabolism to be disrupted.There is NO irritating gas during Tsia-hui CLO2 Hydrogel release process. Most importantly, there is No carcinogenic by-products when CLO2 biocidal application is applied. However, other chlorine disinfectants, such as chlorine and hypochlorite can produce disinfection by -products(DBPS) duringthe process of biocidal disinfection. The DBPS include trihalomethanes(THMS) and haloacetic acids(HAAS), which have been listed as potentially carcinogenic, tratogenic and gene mutational.
